PRACTICE POSTER
I wanted to work with photoshop to practice creating a film poster and play around, experimenting. Here I have used multiple layers to create a busy, dramatic poster to evoke the feeling of fear that comes with the genre of horror. I have added multiple tag-lines in the background that read "the basement is off limits", "the basement never sleeps" and "the basement is always watching". The red hues and dark tones connote the genre of horror and fear that the viewer will embark on when they begin the journey of The Institute. I added a red smudge across the mouth to show that the character of Susannah is silenced not by choice but in fear. I also ensured I added social media's and a billing block to practice with font types and create an authentic film poster.
