MY SOCIAL MEDIA

When researching marketing of films and different marketing techniques. I discovered the fundamental growth of social medias in our modern society. A place where many different demographics find new films, products and services. As a group we decided to create social media accounts to promote our independent small film. Social media is a good method of marketing as it allows further access to a wider target audience and is a reasonably cheap way of advertising a film. We created a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and a Tiktok account. We thought with the huge expansion of the Tiktok app over the period of the pandemic it would be relevant to create a tiktok account to connect with a younger audience. This allows us to adapt our filming techniques and editing techniques however on a much smaller scale, editing in portrait mode rather than the film layout of landscape.
